Effective solutions

Our de-icing salts are a particularly pure and effective mixture of fine and coarse salt crystals. While the fine crystals ensure an immediate thawing effect, the coarser crystals guarantee the necessary long-term effect on thicker layers of ice and snow. The use of de-icing salt is currently one of the most economical and ecological method for safe roads and pavements, especially used for pre-wetted salt spreading.

Origin & Quality

Our salt comes from rock salt deposits in Germany that were formed about 230 million years ago as a result of the evaporation of earlier seas and are characterized by their particular purity.

Consistent quality during a season is essential for smooth winter road clearance and safe roads. This is the only way to ensure that the spreaders do not have to be readjusted at peak times and that unnecessary salt use and personnel costs can be avoided.

We attach great importance to sustainable solutions in winter maintenance. For over 70 years, we have been continuously testing various alternatives in order to find the most environmentally friendly and effective method. Despite various activities in this segment, nothing has been able to prevail over traditional de-icing salt. The switch from pure solid salt spreading to the combination of solid salt and brine (known as pre-wetted salt spreading) remains the measure of all things. We remain committed to finding sustainable and effective solutions for winter road maintenance and will keep you informed of progress.
