#allset – Long-Term Fertilizer Supply in Europe
As part of our Werra 2060 project, we are transforming our potash production and implementing comprehensive energy and sustainability measures and targeted investments to strengthen our sites and ensure a secure, long-term supply of fertilizers in Europe. Our Werra plant produces approximately half of all potash- and magnesium-containing fertilizers in the EU, enabling it to cover a significant portion of European demand. To maintain this capacity, we will invest €600 million in our largest German site. Through these investments, K+S is securing Europe's long-term potash supply at competitive prices.

Through technical innovations, K+S is demonstrating its global pioneering role in sustainable mining.
Through significant investments and efforts over the past few decades, K+S has reduced the environmental impact of potash production by a large margin. The Company continuously strives to reduce its environmental footprint and improve the condition of rivers to ensure the responsible use of natural resources.
The Werra 2060 project aims to significantly reduce the plant's environmental impact:
1 Production at the Unterbreizbach und Wintershall sites
2 Discontinuation of wet processing at the Unterbreizbach and Wintershall sites
3 at the Wintershall site
#allset – Flexible Delivery Options for European Needs
The K+S Group transports an average of over 50 million tonnes of goods per year, including double counts when using different modes of transportation. For this purpose, we have a global network of storage, port, and distribution facilities at our disposal. Due to our proximity to European customers, we offer flexible delivery options by rail, inland waterway, truck, or self-collection at our production and storage sites. Due to regional production and short transportation routes, we also have a significant advantage in reducing emissions.

Through the transformation of our potash fertilizer production, we are developing a future-oriented product portfolio and upholding our claim to being pioneers of environmentally friendly and sustainable mining. This transformation is based on our many years of experience in potash fertilizer production and our firm commitment to supporting agriculture.
We are committed to providing reliable, high-quality fertilizers. Due to the growing focus on dry production, the nutrient composition of our potassium and magnesium fertilizers will change starting with the 2025/2026 season.
