From salt tailings pile to green mountain

The Lower Saxony tailings pile in Wathlingen has shaped the appearance of the town for decades and reflects the history of local mining. In the coming years, this saline tailings pile will become a revegetated mountain – a new landmark for Wathlingen and the result of a planned recultivation process.
