Produced without sulfuric acid, technically pure potassium sulfate (99.6% K₂SO₄) ensures, among other things, optimal nutrition for microorganisms during insulin production.

Potassium peroxodisulfate

Potassium sulphate serves as a raw material for the manufacture of potassium peroxodisulphate in electrolytic processes. Potassium peroxodisulphate is used as an initiator for polymerisations in emulsions or in solutions and is used as an oxidizing agent in plastics processing, electronics, and bleaching processes.

Biotechnology

Magnesium sulphate, potassium chloride and potassium sulphate are used as micronutrients in biotechnological procedures. Typical areas of application are yeast production as well as fermentation reactions for the production of proteins, enzymes, ethanol, vitamins, etc.
