Dr. Harald Schwager new Chairman of the Supervisory Board

Kassel, 15.05.2025
K+S Aktiengesellschaft has appointed a new Chairman of the Supervisory Board. At yesterday's Annual General Meeting, the Supervisory Board elected Dr. Harald Schwager to succeed Dr. Andreas Kreimeyer, who was not available for another term of office. The Annual General Meeting had previously elected Schwager, aged 65, and Dr. Tilman Krauch as new members of the Supervisory Board.

The new Chairman of the Supervisory Board has extensive experience as a member and Deputy Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of two global chemical companies, as well as from other supervisory bodies. He is also a member of the German Federal Science and Humanities Council. Dr. Tilman Krauch (63), a new member of the Supervisory Board, also has many years of experience on the Board of Directors of a global technology company.

Two mandates extended until the 2029 Annual General Meeting

At the K+S Annual General Meeting, the term of office of Deputy Supervisory Board Chairman Thomas Kölbl (62) was extended ahead of schedule until the 2029 Annual General Meeting. This is intended to ensure continuity within the Supervisory Board against the background of changes to both the Supervisory Board and the Board of Executive Directors scheduled for this year. Dr. Rainer van Roessel's (67) term of office was also renewed by the shareholders until the 2029 Annual General Meeting.

The Supervisory Board thanked Dr. Andreas Kreimeyer, the outgoing Chairman, for his dedicated work. He had been a member of the Supervisory Board for ten years, serving as its Chairman since 2017. During this time, he played a key role in shaping the Company's strategic direction. At the Annual General Meeting, the outgoing CEO, Dr. Burkhard Lohr, also thanked Kreimeyer for his consistently constructive cooperation: “You have been an important advisor to me. The entire Board of Executive Directors has benefited from your many years of experience.”

Lohr will step down as CEO in June 2025, handing over to the current CFO, Dr. Christian H. Meyer. In recognition of his dedicated work on the Board of Executive Directors over the past 13 years, as well as his commitment as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of K+S Minerals and Agriculture GmbH, the Supervisory Board of the K+S Aktiengesellschaft has appointed Lohr as its Honorary Chairman.
