Your Responsibilities
The HR Advisor is primarily responsible for end-to-end recruitment delivery and advisory support to leaders, with additional support across onboarding, employee experience initiatives, and HR operations. The HR Advisor partners with leaders and stakeholders to attract, assess, and secure top talent. The HR Advisor drives continuous improvement, enhances the candidate and employee experience, and supports programs aligned to KSPC’s strategic direction.
The successful candidate will:
Recruitment program management: 70%
Act as a subject matter expert for the recruitment program, enabling leaders with tools, guidance, and best practices.
Lead full-cycle recruitment across all levels, including workforce planning, sourcing, screening, selection, and offer management.
Partner with leaders to define role requirements, selection criteria, and hiring strategies.
Support student recruitment strategy and program and provides expertise as required.
Build and maintains diverse talent pipelines, including passive candidate sourcing aligned with Inclusion & Diversity I&D objectives.
Screen and shortlist candidates; facilitate and/or lead interviews as required.
Enable leaders to interview effectively and leads interviews as required.
Advise leaders on inclusive hiring practices and effective interviewing techniques.
Deliver consistent, high-quality candidate experience.
Support and participate in student recruitment and early talent programs, including career fairs and event.
Develop external partnerships (e.g., educational institutions, industry networks) to strengthen talent pipelines.
Act as SME for the applicant tracking system, ensuring data integrity and process efficiency.
Collaborate with Operations Progression Program (OPP) as it relates to recruitment.
Track and report on recruitment metrics (e.g., time to fill, quality of hire, diversity outcomes) to inform decisions.
Champion Inclusion & Diversity (I&D) within recruitment practices and outcomes.
Research projects and policy interpretation: 15%
Conduct research and analysis to support HR programs, policy development, and continuous improvement.
Assist in reviewing, interpreting and applying HR policies, procedures and guidelines.
Monitor employment legislation and assesses impacts, providing recommendations for policy updates.
General administration and operational support: 15%
Maintain accurate HR records and HRIS data, including employee files and documentation.
Support onboarding and orientation, ensuring a seamless new hire experience.
Provide administrative support for OPP tracking and documentation.
Assist with employee and community engagement initiatives.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and experience.
Collaborate with HR and business leaders to ensure compliance with policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.

Your Profile
K+S Potash Canada recognizes the diversity of the workforce and encourages individuals with the equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Certificate or Diploma in Business Administration specializing in Human Resources.
CPHR designation considered an asset.
3-5 years of progressive general HR experience, with a strong focus in full-cycle recruitment.
Industrial or mining sector experience is considered an asset.
Demonstrated ability to influence and advise leaders in a consultative capacity.
Experience with inclusive hiring practices and candidate sourcing strategies.
Ability to interpret and leverage data to inform recruitment decisions and track KPIs.
Experience in promoting the organization at career fairs, on social platforms, and through internal campaigns.
Motivated to build professional experience in business administration and human resources, with a growing understanding of HR principles and strategies.
Demonstrates strong critical thinking, sound judgment, and a proactive approach to taking initiative and managing multiple priorities.
Maintains strict confidentiality and ensures compliance with privacy laws and internal policies.
Collaborative problem-solver with a strong customer focus and ability to build trust-based relationships.
Resourceful and adaptable, with strong communication, interpersonal and cultural awareness.
Proficient in MS Office and HRIS systems; experience with Workday is an asset and comfortable learning new technologies
