Your Responsibilities
This opportunity is a 4-month term from May – August 2026, and is based at the Bethune mine site.
Reporting to the Supervisor, Surveying, the Student, Survey Technologist will assist with:
Monthly bathymetric volume surveys of Cooling Ponds via sonar.
Monthly warehouse product volume surveys via 3D scanning.
Ground Disturbance Permitting as requested.
Line locating of KSPC facilities for a Saskatchewan 1st Call request.
RPAS LiDAR projects as required.
3D Laser Scanning projects as requested.
Right of way/boundary staking for pipelines and pad-sites.
Elevation circuits.
Subsidence monument monitoring via Static GPS.
Other surveying tasks as required.

Qualifying requirements for this role:
Currently enrolled in post-secondary studies in Geomatics and must be returning to full time studies.
Valid Class 5 driver’s license.
Strong communication skills.
Previous survey experience considered but not required.
Capacity to work outside in various elements.
Adheres to safe working protocols.
Comfortable with heights, noise, and a plant environment.
Willingness to learn with a strong interest in modern survey technology.
Civil 3D experience considered an asset.
Working knowledge of the following is considered an asset:
Trimble GPS and SX10 Total Station.
Trimble Business Center.
FARO 3D Laser Scanners.
FARO Scene software.
DJI RPAS.
Radio Detection line locators.
The Bethune mine is located approximately 45-minutes from Regina and Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan.
Working hours are 6:45am - 4:45pm, Monday to Thursday. Occasional overtime may be required.
Subsidized bus transportation from Moose Jaw is available. Transportation from Regina or surrounding area is not provided.
