How long does an internship usually last?
An internship usually lasts 3-6 months.
You can either complete a voluntary internship for up to 3 months or a compulsory internship with the time prescribed by the university/college.
Is a basic or preliminary internship at K+S possible?
Are internships abroad possible?
Internships abroad are only possible to the extent that you apply directly to one of our foreign subsidiaries.
How long does a thesis usually take?
As a rule, a thesis lasts 3-6 months. However, this always depends on the respective university/oschool, the topic of the thesis and whether it is a bachelor's or master's thesis.
Are internships and theses remunerated?
Yes, internships and theses are paid at €700 per month.
What is the best way to apply?
Our tip: When submitting your unsolicited application, please specify the department you would like to work in, your course of study, the location you would like to work in and the period you would like to work in.
Note: For an internship, a working student activity or a thesis, it is important that you are enrolled at a university/college and upload a certificate of enrolment together with your application.
How do I know my application has arrived?
After we have received your application, you will receive a confirmation of receipt by e-mail.
Only when you have received this confirmation will we have actually received your application. Therefore, please always pay attention to this.
How many months in advance should I apply?
This depends entirely on what you want to apply for. You should usually apply for an internship or a thesis 4-6 months before your desired start date.
What annexes must I enclose with my application?
This depends on the spot.
As a rule, you must upload your CV, cover letter, certificates and matriculation certificate. In addition, you can upload language certificates, job references or driving licences (e.g. in the case of an internship).

Can I apply for several locations or for several jobs at the same time?
Yes, you can apply for several jobs and locations at the same time.
Can I use the data I have already entered for another application?
Yes, you can. To do this, you must log into the applicant portal with your data. Then you can, for example, simply upload a new cover letter for a new position and transfer your CV etc. from your previous application.
Can I send an unsolicited application?
Yes, you can also send us an unsolicited application.
In order to process your application in the best possible way, please state your desired location, your desired area and, in the case of an internship or a working student position, the desired period.
If you are applying for a thesis, you are also welcome to send us a topic suggestion.
How long is my unsolicited application held up for?
As a rule, we hold your unsolicited application for up to six months and forward it to the specialist departments as required.
Note: In addition to your unsolicited application, we recommend that you check our job market regularly. If you find a suitable position there, you can reapply for one. In this way, your application can be specifically checked.
Is matriculation required for the internship?
Yes, a matriculation certificate for the duration of your internship is required.
Do I get my travel expenses reimbursed?
Yes, we will send you a form to fill out on the day of the interview.
