Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
Roadmap for the future

Sustainable Development Goals

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the Agenda 2030 are 17 global goals for a more sustainable future. They are aimed at everyone: governments worldwide, civil society, the private sector and science. Everyone is called upon to contribute to making the SDGs better known and to making them a reality.

In 2015, the global community adopted the Agenda 2030 - a roadmap for the future.

With the Agenda 2030, the global community wants to enable a dignified life worldwide and at the same time preserve the natural foundations of life in the long term. This includes economic, ecological and social aspects. With 17 goals for sustainable development (SDGs), the Agenda 2030 covers a wide range of topics. Fields of action include, for example, increased commitment to peace and the rule of law, the fight against corruption and education for all. The protection of our climate and resources. No one should have to suffer from hunger any longer.

Sustainability tangible and perceptible

Everyone is called upon to contribute to making the SDGs better known and to making them a reality. The so-called Good Life Goals help to make the SDGs more tangible and perceptible. The Good Life Goals are a set of personal actions that people around the world can take to help support the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). For each SDG they show different options for action.

Everyone can contribute to the SDGs. It is quite simple. Go donate blood to make a contribution to SDG 3 (Good health and well-being). Repair a dripping tap or leaking toilet tank to contribute to SDG 6 (Clean water and sanitation) or set up nesting facilities for birds to contribute to SDG 15 (Life on Land).

You can get active in many ways. Watch the video to see different options for action.

Good Life Goals for Sustainable Development

Good Life Goals in business

We use the Good Life Goals to bring the topic of sustainability closer to our employees. For this purpose, our Sustainability Management has developed an internal campaign in cooperation with our Idea Management. By linking Idea Management with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Good Life Goals, we make sustainability tangible and perceptible for our employees.

Our Idea Management

We appreciate the active participation of all employees in creating their own work processes and improving their working environment and beyond. For this purpose, we use Idea Management and the Continual Improvement Process (CIP) with its well-known and established processes. Here, ideas can be promoted by the direct manager or on a team, quickly brought to implementation and awarded prizes depending on the benefits.

We combine concrete calls for action, the so-called Good Life Goals, as well as the 17 SDGs with submitted ideas for improvement from our employees.

With the help of the Good Life Goals, the employees are shown that it is very easy to contribute to the SDGs and that they already doing so. Ideas are submitted and implemented. Through the regular call to action via our internal portal, employees are encouraged to submit new ideas and thus make a contribution to the SDGs.
