Second place for K+S in the ranking of non-financial statements in the annual report
In the ranking of the "ESG Monitor 2020" published by cometis and the market research institute KOHORTEN, K+S, with its non-financial statement in the Annual Report (NFE) 2018, ranks second in the overall ranking of DAX and MDAX. The ranking examines 87 DAX and MDAX companies with regard to the quality of their Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) reporting for the 2018 reporting year.

Some 180 ESG characteristics were examined in the areas of measurability, transparency, comparability and appropriateness of ESG reporting. K+S was able to convince especially in the sub-segments "general reporting quality" and "material requirements". In total, K+S achieved 58 out of a possible 91 points. The study is based on the data collection tool of the ESG Monitor 2020.
One of the aims of the study was to analyse the status quo of current reporting. To this end, representatives from the IR and sustainability departments of DAX and MDAX companies were additionally interviewed by experts in order to better understand the opportunities and difficulties of ESG reporting. K+S has also made a contribution to this.
