COVID-19: Remuneration waiver of the Supervisory Board

Extensive donations for charitable purposes in the vicinity of K+S sites

Kassel, 08.09.2020
Following the waiver by the Supervisory Board of K+S Aktiengesellschaft of part of its annual remuneration for 2019, announced at the beginning of June this year, the beneficiaries of the donations have now been selected. In total, more than 70 charitable institutions in the vicinity of K+S sites worldwide will be supported.

"We particularly focus these donations on supporting institutions, initiatives, and projects in need as a result of the corona pandemic. This is part of our social responsibility," says Dr. Andreas Kreimeyer, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of K+S Aktiengesellschaft.

A total of 242,000 euros will be donated to institutions such as children's hospices, food banks and healthcare organizations in Germany. A further 88,000 euros will be given to aid organizations with similar purposes at K+S sites in France, Canada, the United States of America, Chile and Brazil.

During the three-week selection process, all K+S employees could nominate charitable or cultural initiatives, institutions, projects and organizations at their sites which have been disproportionally affected by the negative impact of the corona pandemic.
