Product Features

Application areas

Magnesium sulphate anhydrous and epsom salt are used as cost-effective production accessories and unproblematic coagulants in the production of thermoplastics such as ABS plastics (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene), which are used across the globe. The big advantage is the lower corrosion level compared to other salts.

Building/construction materials

Magnesium sulphate anhydrous, epsom salt and potassium sulphate are some of the most effective and most frequently used additives for anhydrite floors and lightweight boards, special types of gypsum and plasterboards.

Refractory products

Magnesium sulphate anhydrous is needed in the processing of refractory materials. It is used to stabilize the green part during the drying and sintering process.

In the textile industry, industrial salt is used as dye enhancer in the processing and refining of fabrics, such as cotton or linen. When used in a dye bath, salt ensures that the color fully penetrates the fabric, while improving its adhesion to the fiber.

Magnesium sulphate anhydrous is essential in the high-grade finishing of textiles. Their catalytic effect is necessary for the production of non-iron textile materials.

Drying of solvents

Magnesium sulphate anhydrous is used as a mild desiccant for organic solvents in chemical laboratories.

Magnesium sulphate anhydrous and epsom salt are essential to the spin baths conducted in the process of making rayon fibers.

Detergents and cleaning agents

As an ingredient of heavy-duty detergents, magnesium sulphate leads to a fibre-friendly effect and a neutral behaviour towards waste water. Magnesium sulphate and magnesium chloride solution are used in liquid soaps, detergents and rinsing agents to regulate viscosity. Industrial salt is used as the basic material for detergent processing.
