Your Responsibilities
As the Construction Coordinator for the KSPC team, you are responsible for the day to day field activities required for a safely executed project. This may include activities in the Wellfield or any projects undertaken and will include both construction and commissioning activities. This may include the overall co-ordination of multiple trades, contractors and miscellaneous field activities. You will also perform the following tasks:
Monitor and coordinate daily project field activities ensuring safe execution of the project.
Assist in the development of construction execution plans for wellfield projects, sustaining capital projects as well as any major maintenance projects (MOCs).
Support the change management process and be the first point of contact with contractors.
Look for ways to continuously improve our processes and work closely with contractors to ensure success while maintaining the budget and schedule.
Support the Bethune Site HSSE efforts throughout all stages of construction and commissioning.
Ensure contractor mobilization.
Validate all Safe Work Permit requests.
Manage conflict daily to ensure there no delays in the scope of work.
Liaise with operations as required to ensure that all work requiring Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) have been completed and are demonstrating zero energy prior to any work taking place.
Co-ordinate, inspect and monitor construction and commissioning activities as required for the project.
Provides project timelines and updates to the project scheduler.
Ensure timey feedback on constructability and designimprovements.

Your Profile

Journeyperson trade, specialization of a certified trade or technologist in area of expertise (Civil/Structural, Mechanical, Welding or Pipefitting or Electrical/ Instrumentation).
Construction and commissioning knowledge with an overall understanding of project management.
3-5 years people management experience; technical supervisory experience strongly preferred.
8-12 years’ technical experience in a heavy industrial process setting within a specific discipline field (Civil/Structural, Mechanical, Welding, Pipefitting or Electrical/ Instrumentation).
Work effectively with internal/external clients and stakeholders to ensure needs are met and identify/mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle.
Demonstrated proficiency in fostering business-focused collaboration, aligning cross-functional teams and driving projects to successful completion.
Established leadership abilities, including influencing the decision-making of internal and external stakeholders, and coaching, mentoring, and developing a team.
Proficient in data-driven decision-making and business intelligence, leveraging analytical tools and methodologies to enable informed strategic decisions, optimize processes and drive continuous improvement.
Proven ability to analytically solve problems with a creative approach.
