The Mine/Production Supervisor will provide leadership to a unionized labour force of approximately 10 to 25 direct reports, working on a rotating shift in the Mine or Rock Salt Mill department. This role places emphasis on promoting workplace safety and the efficient production of rock salt, while ensuring that production meets acceptable levels of product quality. The ideal candidate will consistently demonstrate strong leadership skills that inspires, motivates, and promotes teamwork within the Production department, as well as with other departments within the company.
The Mine/Production Supervisor may also be responsible for maintenance employees on certain shifts, as deemed necessary.
Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum of a High school diploma, with some post-secondary education preferred
Strong interpersonal skills
Strong communication and presentation skills
Experience in basic computer applications is essential
Minimum 3 - 5 years experience in a leadership position in an industrial setting
Experience with Process Improvement and/or Project Management is a considered an asset
