General information
- For covering peak needs and latent deficiency, 10-25 kg/ha at 5% concentration (5 kg/100 l water) in one or more partial applications.
- In the event of severe deficiency and/or visible deficiency symptoms, up to 50 kg/ha divided into two to five partial applications.
- Can be blended with most insecticides and fungicides, as well as with growth regulators and herbicides containing growth regulators.
- When blending, please follow manufacturer's recommendations.
- Can also be used in aqueous solution with other liquid fertilizers, AHL solution and NP or urea solutions.
- First dissolve EPSO Top in 1/3 of the water, then add the other ingredients.
- Test blends for full solubility in small quantities first.
Cereals
Two critical phases in the growth process of cereals determine the timing of EPSO Top application: at the beginning of the tillering phase and during grain formation and maturity. A high magnesium and sulfur content is essential to keep the flag leaf in the green phase for a long time and therefore ensure photosynthesis.
Canola
Cruciferous crops react most strongly and visibly to both magnesium and sulfur deficiencies. EPSO Top foliar fertilization should be repeated several times (2 to 3 applications) during the shooting phase until the flowering phase.
Sugar beet
A foliar fertilization with EPSO Top at the end of the row shows a high efficiency on the yield as well as on the quality formation of the beets. Thus, especially the nitrogen metabolism can run optimally; the quality of the sugar beets is improved.
Potatoes
The potato plant has the highest magnesium and sulfur requirements during the period of tuber formation - parallel to the flowering phase. Supply via the leaf keeps the photosynthesis rate stable, so that deficiency situations do not occur during the tuber formation period.
Hops
The application of EPSO Top is made shortly before or directly in the flowering together with plant treatment measures and is repeated in the period of dormancy (3 to 4 weeks after flowering), because in this period the Mg and S demand is highest.
Asparagus
The green asparagus leaves form the reserve substances for the coming spring and thus determine the yield of the following year. Magnesium deficiency quickly leads to yellowing and death of the asparagus haulm and thus to a shortening of the storage phase of reserve substances. This can be counteracted by spraying EPSO Top one or more times. Due to the low green mass in asparagus weeds, the EPSO Top concentration is set at 10% (10 kg EPSO Top to 100 l water) during foliar fertilization.
Conifers
On conifers - firs, spruces, etc. - discoloration of the needles often occurs. These discolorations - magnesium deficiency - change in the course from light green to yellow to brown. Repeated treatment with EPSO Top quickly and successfully counteracts this phenomenon.
EPSO Top can basically be applied in all crops and on all soils.
The optimum application rate depends on the nutrient content of the soil, the cropping intensity and the yield expectation. The following recommendations are only guidelines.
